The Department of Defense 8th Annual Worldwide Military Photographer's Workshop 2000 will be hosted by the Defense Information School, Fort George G. Meade, MD, 5 to 10 June 2000. The purpose of the workshop is to provide advanced instruction on how to communicate more effectively using the visual media of photography and photojournalism. Attendance is limited to 25 photographers/photojournalists. All Services active duty enlisted personnel and DoD civilians holding a photographer or photojournalist specialty code may apply. Attendees will be selected based on their portfolio and command recommendation which must be received NLT Friday 28 April 2000. The 1999 workshop faculty included: Mary Calvert, Washington Times; Wally McNamee, Newsweek Magazine; Chip Maury, Indianapolis Star; Eli Reed, MAGNUM; and Gary Kieffer, Photo Press International.
