The Diamond Head Lighthouse recently celebrated its 100th
anniversary helping guide mariners past Hawaiian reefs. The lighthouse is one of a dwindling few with a Fresnel lens in it. The lens stands more than six feet tall and is a couple of inches thick in places. This image is intentionally inverted. The lens flips images seen through it.
